BDO ,Jorethang launched a unique initiative to uplift the Panchayats and the general public at GVK

Namchi, 12th April: In a bid to uplift the Panchayats and the general public the Office of BDO (Jorethang) launched a unique initiative at the Gram Vikash Kendra (GVK) of 32 Salghari GPU under Poklok Kamrang constituency, today.

Speaking, about the initiative BDO (Jorethang) Mr. Prem Rai informed that a system has been formulated wherein the Block Development Office of Jorethang along with other various allied departments will set up their office at the GVK of 32 Salghari GPU. He updated that this office will be organized once in every month and urged the general public to visit the office in order for easier access to any kind of administrative work.

Elucidating, about the aim of the program the BDO notified that setting up of a BDO office at GVK will assist the local gentry of the surrounding area for efficient service delivery and can help ensure transparency, accountability. He also articulated that this initiative will facilitate in identifying and prioritising projects, programmes, schemes and welfare activities provided by the state and the central government pertaining towards the development of the panchayats, the general public and the GPU. He added that the same kind of plan will be emulated at other GPU’s namely at Tinek-Chisopani and Poklok-Denchu GPU in the coming days.

Explaining, about the program Panchayat President of 32 Salghari GPU Ms. Dhan Kumari Manger underlined that this initiative is one of its kinds which will directly benefit and empower the public of Salghari GPU. Highlighting, the significance of this plan the panchayat president emphasized that it will holistically strengthen and improve the functioning of the panchayats thereby upgrading the livelihoods of people.
