Ambassador of India to the State of Libya Azar A. H. Khan called on Governor Shriniwas Patil at Raj Bhavan Today

Gangtok: Mr. Azar A. H.  Khan, Hon’ble Ambassador of India to the State of Libya and High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Malta called on Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Shriniwas Patil  at  Raj Bhavan on 2nd  June, 2016.

It was a courtesy call by the Indian Diplomat who is on  three days official visit to Sikkim.

During a brief interaction Hon’ble Governor provided a brief insight about Sikkim with special reference of being cleanest, greenest, organic and most tourist friendly state in India. Mentioning that there is a huge potential of eco friendly industries in Sikkim, Hon’ble Governor urged him to help the State in attracting prospective investors from within and outside the country by way of his diplomatic influence and relations.

Hon’ble Governor also requested him to pay another visit to Sikkim alongside investors and promote Sikkim in tourism and organic trade.  


Mr Khan while assuring to promote Sikkim with all possible means within his capacity also   shared his impression about Sikkim and   its green and clean environment.
