Constituency level awareness programme of north district concluded
Mangan: Constituency level awareness programme of north district on consumer education, consumer rights and duties, National Food Security Act 2013 and related issues was concluded here at Zilla Panchayat Bhawan today.
Minister of Forest department T.W Lepcha was present as the chief guest. He was accompanied by Parliamentary Member of Sikkim Legislative Assembly, Pinsto Chopel, department Secretary, S.K Shilal, District Collector (North), Karma R Bonpo, Zilla Adhakshya Anguli Lepcha, Advisor of Food department, Satish Rai and other officials of food department. The awareness programme was organized by Food and Civil Supply department, Mangan.
Addressing the gathering, chief guest minister Lepcha said "it is very important to aware students because you are the future of tomorrow. We buy goods without cash memo because we are not aware".
Urged the students to chose the studies on their own interest and their passion.
Asked Panchayats to update themselves with modern technologies because now all the works are done through online.
Minister asked district administration and concerned department to make surprise visit in bazaars and rural shops mainly eatery shops and also to keep vigil vegetables shop saying that some of vendors sells vegetables in the name of organic.
