Coordination meeting of High Power Committee of Denzong Sherpa Association held

Gangtok, 17 April: A coordination meeting of High Power Committee held today at a local hotel in Gangtok under the Chairmanship of Shri Lha Tshering Sherpa, President, Denzong Sherpa Association.

The meeting was attended by the conveners and executive members from all the four districts of Sikkim. Meeting decided to visit state and central authority with the demands of land protection of Sherpa under Revenue Order No. 1 and separate census for the Sherpa community of Sikkim at the earliest.

The next meeting of the high power committee is scheduled to be held at Jorethang in the month of May 2017.
