SCERT’s visited Karjee and Dhuppidara Schools of West Sikkim
Gangtok, 8 December: A team of seven faculty members from State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT)-Sikkim and DIET (West) led by the Director, SCERT,Dr. Rabin Chhetri and Shri T.B.Chhetri, Principal of District Institute of Education and Training (DIET-West) visited Karjee Secondary School and Dhuppidara Primary School, West Sikkim on 7th December, 2016. The visit was a part of the “School onsite support” of DIET(West) and Research Project for “Understanding the quality concerns and challenges of rural schools of Sikkim” being conducted by SCERT.
During the visit the team interacted with the Head Master, teachers, staff and students of Karjee Secondary School. The teachers from feeder schools: Middle Pokhri, Lower Mangnam and upper Mangnam were also present in the interaction. A representative from Chongrang Block Resource Centre of HRDD, West was also part of the visiting team.
The team also visited Dhuppidara Primary School and interacted with the teachers of the school.
SCERT is preparing a comprehensive report of the visit and same will be submitted to the concerned authorities of HRDD.
