Gangtok, November 20: District Hospital Singtam (DHS) has extended heartfelt gratitude to all contributors for their consistent supports and cooperation in making Singtam Hospital award winner of Kayakalp programme.

All the contributors were acknowledged with felicitation and  appreciation in a special function organised at Mining/Rangpo on Saturday evening for rendering  benevolent services to DHS.
Chief Guest of the occasion Health Minister Mr. AK Ghatani congratulated DHS for the achievement and praised instrumental role played in exemplary level of cooperation and public participations. He also assured to open Orthopedic ward in DHS at the earliest.

While congratulating DHS Zilla Adhakshya East Mr. Bimal Dawari recalled the contribution made by public and encouraged gathering to make DHS a model hospital in the country.

DG-cum-Secretary Dr K Bhandari congratulated DHS and all those who have delivered their services to achieve this award.  While congratulating Jorethang CHC and Rangpo PHC for being winner in Kayakalp competition at  CHC and PHC level, he applauded Rangpo PHC for bringing drastic improvement in various aspects. He also stressed to ensure quality health care system besides aspects of cleanliness, hyzine and  sterlisation .

Earlier, Chief Medical Officer DHS Dr Tshering Laden shared an experience on momentous journey of DHS towards kayakalp with a power point presentation. she thanked every participants and marked strong bonding within team members, Rogi Kalyan Samiti and supportive community as the strength of journey.  CMO also highlighted on the facilities being provided by  the hospital and its achievements.

The program also saw colorful cultural performance which was attended by District Collector East, SDM Rangpo, General Manager NHPC, departmental officials along with local gentry.  (IPR)
