Union Minister Smt. Irani called on Governor Shri Shriniwas Patil at Raj Bhavan Today

Gangtok: Smt Smriti Zubin Irani, Hon’ble Union Minister for Human Resource Development Department called on Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Shriniwas Patil  at  Raj Bhavan in the morning  on  25th June, 2016. 

She was accompanied by State’s HRDD Principal Secretary Shri G.P Upadhyaya on the occasion.

It was a courtesy call by the Union Minister who had arrived at Gangtok on 24th June 2016 on a two days visit to Sikkim. 

In a brief interaction with the Minister, Hon’ble Governor urged her to pay visit again for a longer duration so that she could have better understanding of the State’s achievements in various sectors. Hon’ble Governor specifically   highlighted the  achievements of the State in woman empowerment, tourism, human resource, organic mission, environment and overall Swachhata.  

Hon’ble He also requested  her to visit M G Marg in Gangtok sparing a few minutes after her official engagements in the afternoon.
